What this site does
This site is static. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no third-party services and loads its fonts from our own server. Nothing you read on it is tracked. The one place data reaches us is the contact form, and only when you send it.
Hosting and server logs
The site is served by Firebase Hosting, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When you open a page, the server processes the data technically needed to deliver it: your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested and your browser's user agent. This happens on the basis of our legitimate interest in running the site securely (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Google may process this data in the United States; the transfer rests on the EU standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The contact form is handled by a Cloud Function in the Frankfurt am Main data centre (europe-west3), also a Google service. Technical log data arises there too: IP address, time and the outcome of the request.
Contact
When you send the contact form, what you entered is transmitted to our server: the product it concerns, your name, optionally your company and phone number, your email address and your message. The transmission is encrypted. It is handled by a Cloud Function in the Frankfurt am Main data centre, and from there the message is delivered as email into our own Google Workspace mailbox. We process what you send only to answer you (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR) and delete it once the matter is settled, unless a statutory retention period applies. We send a short automatic confirmation to the address you gave, saying the message arrived. You can always write to us directly at info@troubleindustries.com instead.

The site links to the LinkedIn profiles of the two of us and to the sites of the tools we build with. Their privacy notices apply there.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection under Art. 15 to 21 GDPR. You may complain to a supervisory authority; the one responsible for us is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Wiesbaden.
